Seriously..do you spend more time washing your car and thinking about mods than you do your S.O.?
At what point does it become unhealthy?

I honestly don't wash or wax my car like many of you guys but I do like to stare at it sometimes and think about when I'm at work or something Or just talk about it with other people. And this website has definitely increased my BMW addiction!

its a temporary state of obsession, thats all it is, it ends when the e90/coupe/cabrio/M3 shows up and financial reality sets in

Into my first 2 weeks of ownership I felt quite obsessed over the car but the honeymoon is ending and reality is setting in i.e. just made my first payment

cars used to be my life, when i was 21 or so i guess i got burned out.. i spent way too much time zaino'ing my camaro in the sweltering heat. it sucked. i could never concentrate in school, couldn't study, nothing..
now, i appreciate nice cars for what they are, but in the end it's still just a car. |

That's cool, Gluck. I was just wondering if those were in order.

I like my E90 a lot(though it's not incredibly fast though...)but it's just a car. I have scratches on it(some idiots tried to be 'funny' where I always park my car) and I don't wash it very often...
But I like to drive it. On trackdays too. It's not a 'goal' to achieve, it's more a device to me. Can't compare it to GF/friends/family. A nice thing to have when it's your hobby |

Just as when I found my car, they changed it.
