good guess but I doubt someone has already swapped the great M brakes/calipers for brembos.

I think it might be a 06' M3.

Seems like a evo x mr (assuming of course the brembo and mesh style wheels are stock and not aftermarket already)

If it is, im extremely jealous. Wanted to trade my car in but what they offered for trade in was ridiculous.

Law- if you really want the X, go talk to Sam at South Coast Mitsu. Best selling dealership in the U.S.! Folks fly in and buy them on a regular basis. They also lease Evos now as well, which is unheard of prior to economy tanking.

Congrats to the OP. You have a solid and very reliable beast there.

Great track car, I was thinking of getting an Evo solely for track use. How about some full pictures?

I was on a waiting list for the DCT sedan for quite some time. Drove the EDC 6MT and liked it alot. Much better than the stock 335i suspension wise. I was disappointed with the throttle lag in a coupe DCT I test drove, and after hearing of the track limp modes being thrown with this gearbox, I had visions of overheating de ja vu like with my 335. BMW needs to sort out the software for this new tranny and it will take I am sure at least a year. The last thing I wanted to do is get rid of a BMW that shut down at the track only to buy another one that does the same thing.

There is absolutely no rear end bounce like in the 335i. The car is much stiffer while driving down the blvd, but in a good way and it handles great in the twisties. The sequential gear box is unbelievable. So smooth and in D sport mode, it actually upshifts and downshifts at the same moment you would have done so manually. It comes with a four wheel Brembo BBK and two piece floating front rotors, BBS forged wheels, Bilstein Struts/shocks and Eibach springs, and Recaro Sport seats all as standard. This is probably $10,000 in aftermarket parts that come with the car! I can't begin to tell you how nice cloth seats are and I actually leave the car with a dry shirt on in the heat.

This was a quick decision purchase and I love it. It would be hard to justify the extra $30,000 you would need to spend on the new M3. I'll get a '09 or '10 M3 when the time is right. I have no problem driving a Lancer and have come to appreciate the large rear wing, as it is the perfect place to set up Bar at a tailgate party.

Go test drive one just for the fun of it. You will have a hard time wiping the grin off your face!

OP, what are your thoughts on the straight line power of the EVO X? magazine articles are suggesting a 1/4 mi trap speed of ~97mph which similar to 328/330 Do you think this is the case?

It must be a blast to drive! Thought about it myself, decided the 335i package was more my style. What I want to see are images of you rallycrossing it!

Is that a Lotus Brembo caliper?

The reason I mentioned it is I am wondering if they chose an aftermarket style caliper over a production caliper. The production calipers usually don't perform as well.
