New Edmunds article appears to have some misinformation.

They call it a 335Ci and they say it has a 3.5 liter engine with twin turbochargers.

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=109756

Why so much misinformation?!?!?!

Doesn't Edmunds even read the official BMW press releases (about the new engine)?

It's obvious that they either missed or ignored the info that BMW is dropping the "ci" designation on the coupes.

I thought Edmunds was pretty well informed. Looks like their reporting could use a LOT of work.

That Edmunds report about the 335 has been out for a while(quite a bit of time before the press release), so maybe they just fogot to update their information about it. I guess they used the two possibilites for the engine(3.5 liters, or turbo 3 liter) and just combined them so either way they would only be partially wrong.

The date on the article is yesterday (3/27), but it appeared this morning.

Good Point But I remeber reading some Edmunds article with the same misinformation way before yesterday. Maybe they added some things to the article or cut pieces out of the old one and put it in this one. I am certain that they wrote about the 335 "Ci 3.5 liter twin turbo" earlier than yesterday though.

They also have the wrong hp number on that second article.
If you go to future cars on edmunds, it actually says that there will not be a separate coupe, that they will only offer a hardtop convertible and a sedan.

Man, and I usually go to Edmunds when casually surfing cars. Looks like they don't know what the hell they are talking about anymore.

Haha I just noticed this:

Quote:
the new 335Ci is the car to look for this summer
then a few paragraphs down in the same article,

Quote:
Their public debut may not come until the Paris auto show in September, but we expect BMW to release official photos and specs sometime within the next couple of months.
