A lot of people that got them love them, you can do a search and there are many posts on it. I did not get it and personally don't miss it.

I would have gotten it myself if it was avalaible back then. You could do without CA but it's definitely worth it for the convenience

Besides providing a "cool" factor every time i open the door, CA also transforms the start button from an extra step (insert key THEN press button) into the only step. It's especially cool when used in conjunction with a bluetooth phone; you just get in your car, push the button, and you're good to go.
Seriously though, SEARCH. |

Yup, your search engine works. The red highlighting feature is a good idea- you can roar through lots of unrelated posts quickly. It does seem the Comfort Access is a can't do without option, mostly because BMW has built an inexplicable extra step into "turning the key" and this eliminates it.
Funny how the same reactions occur on my Boxster board when someone new to the forum doesn't use the search feature. I'm even guilty of it after having been a member for a couple years. Human nature has it's commonalities- even between Porsche and BMW owners! Thanks for your help. |

I didn't get it, won't miss it, and it's not worth 500 bucks to me. I can push a button on my remote for that (in fact, i want to). And I actually like the extra step of adding my key into the ignition, but I'm in the minority. Some find this step a little too complicated (automotive journalists included).

BTW fellas -- if the OP doesn't even know what its called, it'd be hard for him to search for it. (But then again, just a quick visit to BMW.com would help him realize why no one seems to be talking much about 'Comfort Assist.')
