Adaptive Xenon > Halogen Coding/Wiring (Please read)

Okay I know most people don't go this route, but please hear me out.

I received my car and based on the VIN, I should have Adaptive Xenons. I received it with halogens. I have the DEPO projector headlights installed, but the high beams aren't working. I'm sure that's because it thinks it is the Bi-Xenons. I read through the halogen to Xenon Retrofit DIY, and I know you have to run some cables for that, but I'm trying to go back the other way. Do you guys think I'll have to run or modify cables to get halogens to work?

I'm also new to coding, but I have did some VO coding before and I user BimmerCode for small stuff. Anyways, I took out 522 and 524 from my VO and coded the FEM. That still powered the low-beam, but still no high beam functionality.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I guess I could sell the DEPOs and buy OEM Xenons, but that's a $1000 difference probably. Is there anyone who has done a retrofit from Xenon to LCI LED? Because if I may as well source those headlights and do that retrofit.

If you have DEPO's, then the high beam should be in the low beams. They should act like bi-xenon.

The DEPO projectors have a separate high beam bulb and act like the halogen headlights.

Please explain me why I had a person yesterday which headlights were DEPO's and the high beams were in the lowbeam section.

When the high beams were used, you could hear a clear sound coming out of the headlights.

I cannot speak about noises you have heard. I have personally seen the DEPO headlights I have linked earlier installed in another car that had halogens from the factory. They function similar to the factory halogens. They have a reflector in the inner area where the high beam bulb will illuminate. The purpose of the DEPO headlights is to add the halo and a projector to the low beam (out bulb) area.

Just saying what I’ve seen.

Good luck with it.

Any one else know if there's any wiring I need to do to get halogens to work properly?
