No sound after CCC unit was replaced
Hello,
First post here ... a friend of mine has bought a used BMW E90 2005 with non-working (black screen) CCC module. He got an other used CCC but after it was installed, he experienced that no sound (radio, cd, door gong) in the car. We tried to configure the CCC module with NCS Expert, tried all of the types (stereo, hifi, top hifi with all amplifier types) but result is the same: no sound. Every other funcions seem to work. (We tested the newer CCC unit in my E90 and that worked fine without any coding so the problem should be in the car) The original CCC module HW version was 9.8, the new one is 11.6. Can you imagine that the car can not handle the CCC unit with the newer HW version? Should we somehow teach the car how to handle the newer CCC unit or what can be the problem? Thanks if you trying to help |

You have to code the new CCC to the options in your car.
In particular the type of sound system you have. Use Vo sometimes called default coding to do this. Do you know what the original sound system is? The following is all you need to do since you are Vo coding. Be sure to use a profile that read the VO instead of a man file. Once done, don't forget to "SG_CODIEREN" on the modules CHOST CAPPL CGATE CAUDI CTUNE From https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...&highlight=676 applys to 677 or base system to just trying to get the values in the CAS/FRM into the new head unit. You need to wait yhe car to go into sleep mode before settings to take effect. (10 min I guess, go drink a beer, you deserve it!) Last edited by ctuna; 03-31-2019 at 05:17 PM.. |

Thank you for your quick reply!
"You have to code the new CCC to the options in your car. In particular the type of sound system you have. Use Vo sometimes called default coding to do this." Let me understand the procedure - sorry I really newby for BMW coding ... in case of using default coding (perhaps the Factory coding profile will do this in NCS Expert) NCS Expert will ask the car about the VO list and write back to the CCC modul? "Do you know what the original sound system is?" Asking the VO list by the VIN code it has a hifi system but there is an amplifier in the boot, so perhaps the earlier owner bulit in a top hifi ... We tried to coding the audio manually and tried all of the possible variations but unfortunately neither of them worked. "The following is all you need to do since you are Vo coding. Be sure to use a profile that read the VO instead of a man file." Ok. "Once done, don't forget to "SG_CODIEREN" on the modules" Ok. "CHOST CAPPL CGATE CAUDI CTUNE From https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...&highlight=676 applys to 677 or base system to just trying to get the values in the CAS/FRM into the new head unit. I just ask it because when I tried to coding some setting manually (Bluetooth disabling) that was commited immediately. Can I eliciting the waiting with disconnect the battery and connect it again? |
