Cup holder replacement
Hello,
This is probably going to surprise a lot of people, but... I want to get rid of the cup holder in the central console. I don't use it and the space could be very useful for something else. I would like to have a little storage compartment there without the round shapes that take so much space. |

I use the optional BMW Oddments Tray when I'm not using the cupholders in my F32
It stores in the net @ top of glove compartment, & simply snaps in/out of place where cupholders are located Don't know if it will work on your car though as I see you have a sliding door over the cupholders? My F32 does not have door for cupholder, only for compartment behind the cupholders https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...t/51169232068/

I don't use my cup holder other than for a few coins. Since it wouldn't intrude on what I do use the cup holder for I put this in place of the stock face piece below the radio:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fit-For-BMW...item2878337dd5 It's handy for much more than CDs. |

My iPhone XS fits just fine in the cup holder.

I always thought LCI has more usable space than pre-LCI model. I usually drop the key fob into the cup holder, my phone (Pixel 1 XL with case) sit on it flat, and wallet on top of the phone.
But I agree, we can't really place anything vertically in the cup holder... |
