Plant San Luis Potosí is now producing 330i models for US consumption
Guac, however, is still extra.

For now, the RWD M340i will be built in both Germany and Mexico, while the AWD M340i will be built in Germany only. But this will change within the next couple of years, and all US spec G20s will become dual sourced.
And of course if a tariff war with Europe becomes reality, SLP could become the exclusive source of these models for our market. |

Excited to see what this plant can produce. I recall the South African plant often winning quality awards over the German one during F30 production.

BMW produced the 3-series in SA for nearly 45 years, since 1973.

This. If SA is anything to go by, this plant could have just as much potential as Munich. I'm more worried about where parts are sourced for it versus Munich though.
