Dice/Silverline owner opinions

Hey guys,

I don't feel like reading thro 10 pages of material to find out about this product. I have an 07 M roadster with NO nav. Can anyone with the same setup tell me about their experience with this product? I am considering ordering it, but I've heard mix reviews so i want to hear from people with my exact setup. Thanks, much appreciated!

I just installed this on my 06 roadster (No nav, No DSP), and it works pretty well.

PROS:
Play by playlist, artist, etc.
Song title and artist texted on radio
Control ipod with steering wheel controls
Easy installation
Excellent sound quality (versus FM transmitters)

CONS:
You have to wait at least 30 seconds before you can control the ipod
Finding the plugs in the car to plug in the device can be tricky
Unit will freeze up sometimes (it could be operator error)
Texting song information on display does not work all the time

I have not spent a lot of time trying to troubleshoot these problems, so there may be an easy fix.

Hope this helps!

I reset the unit and everything is working great now. I think it's the best iPod integration product in the market.

Pretty much hate mine. I just upgraded to a new Touch and went back to the aux input from the Dice. I will likely go the sat radio route instead and toss the Dice or mash it into a thousand tiny pieces.

after hearing all the mixed reviews i dont mind my AUX input. It is kind of annoying to control the songs from the ipod but it gets teh job done with great sound quality

Do you have a name of whom you are speaking to over there? I can follow up for you.

I've spoken to both Adam and Jessie through email and another lady through the phone. I've had my unit sent back to them and replaced and the problem still persists.

Other than inspecting your vehicle personally, I'm not sure to what the problem can be. Are you going to be in our area anytime soon?

Tom, no, I wont be in EAS area anytime soon. I spoke to Leif and he pointed me in the direction of what he thinks is the problem. Shoot me a email/PM and hopefully we can finally get this sorted out.

I'd like to thank Tom@EAS for stepping up and getting my DICE unit all figured out, even when DICE themselves left me out to drive. A simple firmware update and its functioning perfectly now. Great service from Tom, shipping paid both ways to/from EAS. Thanks
