M340i configurator coming to bmwusa.com soon?
They changed the information for the 3 series and looks like they are getting ready to launch the M340i configuration page shortly.

There's a "light" M340i configurator that lets you pick color and rotate.
Looks like it's in a state of flux though, it mentions the 7 series in the copy and the "Explore Models" link 404s. |

I would assume so, can't you not have a car for sale without EPA approval? I mean people have been ordering their cars.

Can you imagine the cars arriving to port, and get told you can't have it till the EPA approves it?

Last time I ordered a vehicle it came from Japan, took weeks to get it here and I couldn't imagine being told that I couldn't have it because of the EPA. I can't wait to order my M340i but it will be interesting to see your guys experience these upcoming weeks vs my experience in 10 months when my lease ends.

We don’t have an official on sale date.
I’m hoping my car is in country around April 1. Typically I’d take delivery a week later. I’m not holding my breath on this one. My only question is will BMW hold it at the VPC or will it sit at the dealer. Hopefully the dealer. At least I’d be able to visit. I think the X7 had a few days where you could see them at the dealerships but not take one home. |

I expect mine to finish being built on Friday and hopefully catch a boat and be here by April 20th at VPC. Hopefully when I return from vacation I can collect her on April 27th.

It happens more than you know. When the 2016 340 first came out, my car sat at the VPC for about 10 days because of EPA approval. It was a brand new engine at the time and was not fully EPA tested when the first cars arrived.
