So if anything happens outside of wear and tear the tire and rim is covered. From what I heard from a friend who had a 5 series with run flats he wish he took the package offered. 6 years $2,200 is what's being offered

Na, I originally was taking on the M5, then felt it was way too $$$ and taking my chances. Fingers crossed! X7 wise, it's not so $$$, but i'll opt out as well. |

You're NYC metro like me, if you had an AMG, I'd say go for it, cause the wheels bend like pretzels! BMW M, otherwise....

I met a guy in Hoboken with a 6 series grand coupe, after 18 months he had so many damaged wheels, he got rid of it and got a Range Rover.

He seemed to be happier with the rover. More problems with wheels on the 6er than the rover. He told me the last straw was after the Lincoln tunnel coming into manhattan. Hit a huge pot hole and had to get towed.

Yeah I know those well. Was leaving JFK in my then '16 550iM and slammed into an unavoidable crater. Car went haywire for a second then recovered. Was astonished wheel and tire survived, no bending, etc! That dam liquid sodium chloride is what's destroying the roads. It eats all the way through the pavements and causes holes deeper than ever before. I know this, cause I'm a site-work / roadway contractor in NYC.

Our old Audi A6 lived on the east coast (we are on the west coast). for awhile in the Manhattan / queens area. Sure enough one of the 254/40/17 tires got a sidewalk bubble on it. Fortunately it has a full size spare, but the Michelin's it had were NLA, so I had to buy 4 new continentals. Nice $700 hole in the wallet. |

This vehicle is going to have a lot more rubber between the rim and the road than a 6 series( thicker tires) You can’t expect to have the same issues with this SUV even with 22. I would defiantly save my money and take my chances.
