I didn't specifically order them but found a box of 4 in my glove box! That reminds me to take a good look at the box.
Has anyone had the same experience? I presume they are part of some package. I have mSport 40i with Executive pack and 20" wheels. |

Gift from your CA? They are available as an accessory usually from the dealer.

My dealership installs them on every car and they always put the box with the take off bolts and the key in the glove box. I'll have to remember to thank them

LOL...... every lug nut on my BMW is a locking lug....... I guess wheel theft must be a thing in my area...... It was on the vehicle when I purchased it.

Now You've got me curious, do they all have the same key?! Did they mix the key pattern up on each wheel?! Where do you store all the keys if they're different? Did they give you a key pattern schematic? That's just crazy.

I think you'd better check when you have some spare time to try all 20 though just in case. Just crazy!

I have always used wheel locks, but only one on each wheel. That said, they will not prevent someone from stealing your wheels/tires. There are many videos online that show how easy it is to remove the locks if you have the right tools. My hope is that the thief will move on to a vehicle that doesn't have any wheel locks.

Wheel Locks Included?
New to this forum. Just placed an order for an X5. Can someone confirm that wheel locks are included as part of a package or are the dealers just being generous. I am trying to buy the extras I need before delivery. Also does someone have the part number for them? Ebay has them for are $40.00, but other sites show OEM for much more. Any insight would be appreciated.
Thank you. |

BMW has a universal key so it doesn't matter to them. |

I thought wheel locks were standard on all BMWs these days - is that not correct?
I'm collecting my G05 X5 next week - should I be purchased wheel locks too?? |
