Noisy Intake

Anyone else have issues with a noisy intake??? The three pieces at the bottom of the air box are all slip fit, and loosened over time with the rattle of the diesel. Took almost 2 hours to tear down to the rattle and secure (temp) with epoxy. It was a loose fit of the two pieces between the air box and the rubber fitting behind the left hand kidney grill.

Would love suggestions on aftermarket intakes or more permanent solutions. I am sure this epoxy will keep things quiet for a few months but its never going to last...

How many miles? I haven't had any issues.

Do you mean noisy as the whole box is rattling, or a loud induction noise?

I have a stock setup, but if I were to ever switch I'd probably go with aFe #54-76307

What noise did it make? I have a 55-65 mph thrum hat I think is the undertray covers, but I guess it could be the intake.

I had a noticeable rattle at idle and tracked it down to the same location as you. A bead of silicon applied over the joints has remedied the issue 100%, for the last few months anyway. You may find the epoxy will take care of the rattle for a loooong time.

Thanks for this, I'm having the same issue, will investigate and report back.
