Powder Coated Wheels

Picked up a pair of X5 40i X-Drive units from the dealer last week (his and hers, mine is white, hers is black). After having the windows tinted on day 1, I had the wheels powder coated on day 2. $300 to remove, powder coat, mount/balance.

Getting ready to wrap the window trim with black, then just waiting for March when those M-sport parts hit the stores so I can delete the rest of the silver/chrome trim.

(Sorry for the dirty pics, it's snowing here in Eastern WA)

I had the same thing done, but I got charged WAY more than that. SF Bay Area prices.

I do love how they look though!

Fantastic job. I love the black wheels with the white X5. I may have to do the same.

Nice rims! What M-Sports parts will be made available in March? Any more information on this?

What other parts are you thinking of deleting just out of interest? Thanks!

Update

Hi - thinking of powder coating the same rims on my X5. Any update on how the powder coating has held up? Any issues? What specific color / finish did you go with? Any and all advice / recommendations would be helpful! Thanks!
