Hi all,

My local Bmw dealership have today diagnosed a bad egr valve as the cause of the engine light that’s been on for the last few days. Unfortunately they couldn’t do the work today as they didn’t have the part so it’s booked in for the 7th January for a replacement egr valve.

Just wondering if I should be ok to drive in the meantime. I’ll be doing minimal miles until then (no more than 200 miles) . Just worried I may cause further damage if I do continue to drive whilst I have this issue. Thoughts?

Drive. It'll only emit mor NOx, might be another minor rough idle/running problem.
