Vehicle check light reset.

How to reset my vehicle check light? I looked at every video and read and tried everybody's tutorial and still no luck.
It came on after putting gas. checked gas cap and it on good. Went through all my service menu like brake fluid, safety sticker, coolant, ect it's all up to date.
Im hoping i don't have to take it to the dealership cause their going to want upsell me on other things. Thanks for your time.

Pics of light? Is the vehicle on a lift or a SES light or gas cap light

Oh that is probably an interval service light. It's nothing. They used to have Service I, Service II, Service III for different intervals of your car where they would check certain things. Even the dealership doesn't do that anymore -- they will tell you to come in when the car says to for a problem.

I'm assuming you don't have iDrive. But do this to reset:
1) Turn on ignition
2) Hold trip odometer button for 5 sec until you see the CBS icons displayed
3) Cycle through them with the stalk (I think its the actual BC button you press - but don't hold unless you want to reset that function).
4) When you get to one you want to reset, press and HOLD the BC button. You'll momentarily see a clock icon while it resets.

That should change you to the next cycle in 30K mi or so.

Under Check Control, do you have any other codes?

Guys thanks for all your help. I finally got it reset. It was my Bad, I didn't hold the odo button down long enough for the CBS to stay lit. After that i was able to do what Bluewater mention. Thanks and Mele Kalikimaka.
