Planning for a 540i..what kind of incentive...deals?

I am planning to get my first BMW for the wife. I am thinking of a 540i with Msport package and brakes, executive tier, etc. MSRP is $69,300. What kind of deal can I expect to get? Are there any invcentives for 1st time buyer? I am coming from a Lexus and Mercedes SUV's. BTW, I am in Austin, TX but open to take delivery from another state if the car is cheaper. Thanks.

I'm not from the area but I would suspect you could still get 7-10% with a little work. I typically email every dealer within the distance I'm willing to travel. I let them know I'm purchasing from the dealer with best price and begin negotiations. Ultimately my local dealer approx 15 min away has matched best price offered in writing and will typically throw in a few extras. I have received 10% off my last two orders.

I would say 10% off msrp shouldn't be hard, it was pretty easy in my case (northeast), checked 4 dealers one were more aggressive than the other then I showed to other ask for match or better end up about 11-12 off with a order car, inventory car was like 14+ off msrp

P.S. didn't get M line, just sports line so might helped my case a bit?

with 10-14% off MSRP, does this include any of the incentives? I figured that I am no qualified for any since this would be my first BMW. Thanks.

Including bmw financing incentives, they say you have to be current BMW owner. After press hard enough turn out not the case, though you do have to play a bit gentleman agreement with the dealer in terms not to prepay as soon as possible (some quote 3 payments some quotes 4) so they get the credit from BMW

Can you explain that a bit more? I currently do not have a BMW. I am looking to get a new 540 but am not qualified for the owner incentive.

The only thing you don't get by not being a previous BMW owner is the loyalty discount they typically give on interest rates. It's usually .9% or 1% off for the loyalty.

2k off if you finance via BMW finance and pay 4 month (or 3 month, depends on the dealer you talk to). You can just finance minimally if you don't want a big balance since their rate are crap.

The way it works is the dealer gets incentive through BMW financing (because they originate the loan), then they pass that on to you, though the deal is you have to make x number of payment (3 to 4 depends on the dealer), otherwise the dealer doesn't get the credit. I don't think any official doc will say you have to pay at least x month, ie there are no prepayment penalty in the loan doc, but you play gentlemen agreement with dealer.

The current "loyalty" perk is a $2000 rebate off MSRP from BMW NA (although does vary by model - I'm referring to M550i).

Although I'm a previous BMW owner, my CA mentioned that this should also work for a "conquest", meaning if you are currently driving something BMW considers a competitor and now switching to BMW (e.g. Audi, Merc)

Have you guys not got any discount online car site? We have loads here in the UK, eg, carwow. We just take the discount on offer as a starting point and work from there, eg 20% minimum.

I think everyone starts with website as well, though website's number are jokingly less than if you just try a bit harder then add on all the rebates/incentive (like 6% vs 15% kind of difference...)

Exactly. I got a $4K financing incentive and paid four monthly payments before paying it off.

well $4k is certainly better than I did..., that's purely financing incentive or other things lumped in
