Passenger side comfort access not working
Driver side is fine, passenger side doesn't work anymore, both lock and unlock. Tried to search but can't find a DIY fix, anyone has experience fixing it?

But sometimes rarely it worked for unlocking. Really odd behavior. I remember having a code for it I think a while back but nothing came back. The dealer when I went to do my key, actually told me that the issue might be my tint interfering, but my tint is only in the back so I doubt it. But I think a new comforat access handle is the fix but never found anything concrete on that. Found some older posts when the car was brand new and ppl had issues and dealer replaced handle but idk. Would love a DIY fix like you say. |

Had same issue a few years ago. Handle has to be ordered by dealer because it has to be programmed to the car (you have to give them the VIN). Upside: it comes painted to match the car. Downside: cost. Very easy to change - takes about 10 mins tops - one torx screw to take off, wiggle the old handle out and replace with new one. You can find on the net how it's done if don't have Bentley. On other BMW models you can fix the issue - some wires get the plastic insulation cracked, shortens out and that is the issue. On our cars it's impossible.
