Car is destroyed...thankfully I am not!

Don't get me wrong, I'm hurt. Right hip fractured in 3 places, L3 vertebrae fractured, abrasions from seat belt, neck sore. I'm home since last night (accident Friday morning). I have no memory of it. Hug your wife and kids, guys, you just never know, God is good!

Ouch what happened? Looks like you got t-boned from the pic. Don't worry cars are replaceable no matter how mint or rare. But a life isn't. Glad you're okay.

Holy shit.

+1 on what happened. That looks like a hard hit.

Glad you weren't as wrecked as that. Hug your kids is right.

So someone has to do it:
"So I noticed the bumper is sorta ok....cup holders? When's the part out? Don't think I haven't noticed the headlight you pulled!" LOL

The car did it's job and destroyed itself to keep you alive.

Have a speedy recovery!

Glad to know you are home, if NOT ambulatory.

Since you have no recollection of the accident events, I would suggest:
1) Get a copy of the accident report filed by the investigating officer in the jurisdiction where the collision occurred;
2) Get the name & contact information of any eyewitnesses or other parties involved, if you don't have that already; that witness info may be in the written report, or it may be in the officer's notes/records only & NOT public;
3) Consider contacting a Personal Injury lawyer;
4) Determine whether under your insurance coverage or KY law you may make a "Medical Payments" claim even if health insurance paid your hospital bills;
5) I presume you have already reported the incident to your auto insurer, and may have received some of that information?
6) Remember "Your Insurance Company" is basically interested in defending any claims against you or the Insurance Company as your indemnitor, and has no obligation or duty to inform you of any claims you might have against your insurer or any other parties. It is basically protecting its own interests, and duty to defend you if other parties are making a claim against you, so I hope you have a good PI (Personal Injury) lawyer. I don't practice in KY so this is NOT a solicitation.

Finally, I would suggest that if you have no current personal recollection of the events, that you make no further public statements pending determination of accounts of eyewitnesses or other parties, and/or consultation with a lawyer.

I hope there were no passengers. Best for a speedy recovery (physically & monetarily) and replacement of your vehicle.

George

Holy sheeeit man, that's a hard hit.

These things are built so well to handle impacts... some of the safest on the road... 5 stars in almost all categories on the more rigorous tests that were introduced 5 years after the cars were first introduced.

Really glad to see how well it kept the driver's seat area untouched, and also glad nobody was riding passenger!

Not sure about the lawyer part; it looks like a single-car accident with a stationary object. No paint marks from another car. Glad the OP is alive.

Passenger door, side mirror and side skirt available for purchase? Can you ship?

Thank God nobody was (I’m assuming) sitting in the passenger seat. Glad you are still ticking so hang in there! The recovery will be long but you’ll make it so keep us posted with updates. And you’ll get into another e90 or whatever vehicle you choose soon enough.

I second all those saying, thankfully nobody was in the passenger seat. Don't worry about the car, the good thing is you are okay. These are common cars and it looks like they are very safe.

Wow. Looks like you hit something at about 60 on that residential street?

Glad you’re ok, also glad I don’t live in that neighborhood.

Car did it's job for sure! Such low miles on it too, glad you are alright. When you are in the market for another low mileage N55 E90 get ahold of me. Maybe we can work something out!
