Hello everyone, I've been trying to sort out every little thing wrong with my car lately so I can safely start modifying it
Lately it's gotten colder in my neck of the woods, getting to about 45 or 50 degrees at night. When my engine is cold and first being driven around, I have what sounds like a faint rattle that I can only hear in the cabin when no music is on or climate controls or anything. If I roll down my window to try and listen the wind noise drowns it out and I can't recreate it at idle. It starts at ~1500 rpms and will happen up until 3000 rpms where it seems to smooth out/stop if I let it rev higher than that. It sounds like I can hear it on the other side of the dashboard on the driver side so I'm thinking it could be something sticking in my intake when it gets cold, maybe a DISA valve or something like that? When the engine warms up it occasionally stops, but on warmer days above ~65-70 degrees I don't hear the sound at all. Thank you in advance for any advice you have!
