Turns out good timing I ordered them! Just got an MOT advisory for front brake discs! lol
And passed no issues with new smoke rules with Celtic Tuning remap so result there |

Hi - apologies for hi-jacking this post a little. I’m going to be doing my first disc and pad change on my 320d xdrive (2012) and I am a little nervous as never done before. I’ve checked out the BMW instructions and various videos and it looks straight forward, however I am wondering a few things:
1 - is it okay to reuse the various clips from the existing brakes 2 - is it necessary to always replace the wear sensor (hasn’t triggered yet) 3 - is it okay to reuse the various attachment bolts (BMW manual says to replace some) These are standard BMW brakes (not performance) - any recommend replacement? |

2 - Yes 3 - Generally Yes. I'm not aware that BMW use stretch bolts on the braking system, so the existing bolts should be fine. They may suggest new bolts if they have thread locking compound on them, but if you apply some thread lock compound to the existing bolts it should be fine. |

Thank you for the input. Very much appreciated.
Is the a way to reset the brake wear sensor on the computer? Keeps popping up with number of miles left before brakes need doing (3000). Cheers 👍😊 |

it will be worn down, you should be able to tell from how much meat is left on the pads e.g. if it's past the sensor then you're ok.
The wear sensors can be awkward to get out though, when I replaced my pads, I got the front sensor out clean but had to replace the rear as it broke coming out. the sensors are relatively inexpensive (£10 each IIRC) so could be worth having one just in case. |

Discs finally arrived today. Takes a little while with Autodoc but all good. There was a week delay as they emailed to say they would call but didn’t and had to chase them. They basically wanted to go through order details to know not being scammed but didn’t need to send ID or anything just a quick phone chat.
