F30/F31 330d quarter mile times

I've looked around for quarter mile times for the 330d and couldn't find much so thought I'd start a thread considering I ran my car at Santa Pod on Sunday.

So....
330d remapped by MoreBHP
Dyno figures 310bhp and 680nm of torque

13.5 seconds quarter mile was my best time.

Not sure if that's good or bad so hoping others will post

Tyres are Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 and Performance map from MoreBHP (Stage 1)

Why you ask? Is that a decent time or?

Seems decent. I don't have a 330d but my F31 335d did 12.7s. It's remapped also, but I think it's think it's xdrive that really makes the difference there.

Thanks! The 13.6 and 13.7 were with passengers, 13.5 I was on my own but still had some wheelspin so I do think on a perfect run it would manage a 13.4 without a doubt.

From memory mine did a 13.74 @101 mph into a heavy headwind. 330d sDrive with PPK. As with yours, I just couldn't get a clean launch. In fact my fastest ET was when I left the car in S by mistake and did a double change which effectively missed out 2nd.

Shows how much difference the PPK makes considering the standard car is 14 seconds and I'm guessing that's a perfect run!

From the day there were some interesting runs:
I was up against a E46 M3 and that did it in 14 seconds so that was a win for me.

An E60 M5 did a 13.3 along side me and my car was ahead until the very end when the M5s extra power gave the advantage. Quite impressive from a diesel saloon!! His start was ok from the video footage as well.

Up against a 135i and it did it in 13.7 and I did a 13.6 along side.

All these petrol cars and I'm sat there thinking I'm doomed, I'm never going to win against that and each time the car surprised me. Totally stunned tbh and so were my petrol head friends!!

Yes, they are pretty quick for a 40+ mpg diesel.

I only managed 13.2 @110 in my 240i

I will say I'm a rubbish drag racer though, the 240 should run into the 12's. Standard. But I just can't get them off the line cleanly on Santa pod.

Those are all good figures. A friend of mine has an E91 335d Touring with a silly map and DPF removal, and that was running 13.4 from memory. I think my E30 did the 1/4 in 13.6. Not tried the E46 330d.

Ian.

Good stats
Got no figures, but my standard 330d was as quick to 100mph as an e46 M3, in a straight line
Great cars

Those are really consistent times. Were you using the launch control function to get off the line?

Nope, launch control just seems to spin the rear wheels for me. I get the launch control activated message, left foot off the brake and spin spin spin. Those times were sports plus and S gearbox.

Is that because of your reaction times and pulling away you'll actually go on green?

You've probably got some really good tips to share considering what you do!
