M2C European Delivery

Hi guys,

While placing my M2C order today the dealer said that European Delivery was not available for the M2C and may be available after the initial few months of build. Are you all hearing the same thing? I want that experience again, particularly with an ///M car, so this is kind of a big dagger.

Thanks!

I got production for September 24 for my M2c and I submitted my ED date for early October.

Find another dealer. I stop communication with a dealer that throws BS at me.

Is it up to the dealer? I thought they essentially have to give up an allocation. I wanted to do ED and I was told essentially they weren’t willing to do it in the beginning.

Yes it’s up to the dealer.

Lots of dealers are dishonest and blame bmw NA that they cannot do an ED but in reality they are the ones that aren’t willing.

Yeah I had a found a dealer that was willing to do it but I just missed the cut on allocations. So I went with a dealer where I got in on the first allocation but no ED. O well.

Quick question fellas, if I want my M2C to be the MY2020, when should I place the order? The reason being I am going to wait until next year since I don't want to compete w/the crowd. Thanks in advance.

For 2020, I say around June 2019. June the year before is when BMW releases ordering guide for the next year models.

OP I am picking up my car in September at The Welt. I did have a deposit in for a year, and got it in writing 6 months ago, but it can be done. First allocation at the dealer FYI. Try Midwest dealers.

Well, I'm using a Midwest dealer, and no go on ED. I was assured for several months that it wouldn't be a problem, but when I put together my car, I was informed that I was welcome to do ED, but with NO DISCOUNT. Something about lost future allocations....
I may still do the Euro Delivery on my dime, just for the experience. This, however, goes right along with the awful dealer experiences regarding the M2C ordering process. And I don't want to call around to other dealers, because I thought I was good to go with my order, and just want to get the car...
