Buying a m240ix in a few weeks

Sorry if I am posting this in the wrong spot.

I currently have a 17 WRX that I am looking to get rid of for a nice used M240i xDrive. I have done a lot of googling on this car but cannot find an answer to this: What kind of numbers can the stock motor and z8 trans handle before I need to worry about things breaking. I know in the WRX they can handle 350whp but I have not seen much of people really pushing the m240i to its limit.

A quick google search returned this previous thread:
http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1028941

Which references the Wikipedia article:
http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1028941

Which says 500nm and that would be 368.78 ft∙lb

That number seems low as I'm pretty sure there are plenty of dynos proving that the stock torque of a M240 is close to or higher than that. There are definitely tuned dynos showing more power than that.

I saw that post already and that is why I wrote this post. It just does not make any sense. Dinan claims 478 lb ft with their tune which is over 100 more than what the trans says it can handle.

you need to define what "how much it can handle" means.

As far as I know, no tuner does durability test with there tunes.

I'm sure there is a reason why all the B58 engines have maximum torque at 369 lb for now.

It must be related to drive train durability.

running CAI, sport cat dp, remus exhaust, and JB4 map 3, I promise you I'm over that 369lb ft and I've been going strong for 20k miles now. No issues with the tranny. Only issue I had was the turbo needing to be replaced at 1200 miles and I think that was a preventative thing since the oil pan was leaking oil.
