My First Look: BMW M2 Competition Offers You More
The new M2 Competition has arrived and the Bavarians upped the game improving performance, handling and looks. I had the lucky chance to see the car up close and personal.
For your information, I did hear the engine at idle, but I was not allow to rev it until the press drives this summer and I was not allowed to make a sound clip of it. I can tell you that it sounded similar to the M4 at idle, but that was about it. I know it is no decent info, but this is it for now. Full pricing will follow in May! Read my complete story here: https://drivetribe.com/p/first-look-...paign=Shmee150 Galleries: If you have any questions with regards to the first look, please feel free to point them to me and I hope I can answer them for you. Later today there will be a video from Shmee150, which I shot and Tim narrated it. It will go live at 15:00 CET and will cover the complete car inside and out. There are no sound clips yet! They will follow in the summer. Don't forget to read my interview with Frank van Meel - BMW M CEO. He provided a lot of insight into things you all were asking. Loving the BLUE back lit speedo and Rev counter dials.
I feel that chunky concave wheels suit the M2 much better than these wheels. |

No that it's that important but does it have the startup roar?

You have two seat option in the M2C: 1. Base seats same as M2 (LCI) Coupe with two types of stitching colors 2. M Sport seats new to the M2C with two types of stichting colors. MR |

Did I read this correctly?
* no comfort access, you have to push on remote to open door * no garage door opener, you have to carry you own remote * no nice M Merino leather, not even Nappa, we are stuck with cheap Dakota * no engine temperature gauge Last edited by mastermav; 04-17-2018 at 06:01 PM.. |

I know some people are disappointed in the HS color, but it looks beautiful in your photos. Excellent post, excellent pix and write-up. Thank you for posting, it's exciting even for those of us who can't take advantage!

The rest we don't care about... It is a M2, not a 7-Series. MR |

Is it wider than the current car?
That color is awesome. I wonder if the brakes and seats can be retrofitted. I actually like the front end better on the original/LCI. Too bad on the S55 sound, but I'm sure the performance ceiling makes up for it. Thanks for the detailed images! |
