Is the M2 Competition the only 2019 model or will there also be a base M2 2019?

I'm having trouble determining this from the threads. Is there going to be a base M2 in 2019 with the S55 engine?

Yes - The M2 Competition with the S55 engine will be the only model for 2019 as far we know right now.

And this will be the de-tuned S55, right? At around 400 HP?

We know quite a bit via the leaked VINs.

Perhaps, but until they decide (IF) on a production model, it's all just ring track time

Just because it hasn't been released yet doesn't mean these are all speculation. Every claim made here either by insiders or other members have credible basis. You'll see within a month once the car is revealed and the specs are out.

I work on all sorts of products that exist before they are officially announced and make it to retail. That doesn't mean they don't exist or nothing can be known before they reach consumers.

If you are still feeling nothing can be known about the M2 Comp we could make a bet like if it has the detuned S55 engine you pay me $50 and if it doesn't I pay you $500 or whatever odds you like? I mean what feature or change about the M2 Comp are you unsure about and we can come up with a bet that you might like?

There have been over 100 pre-production cars made already with new ones popping up every few weeks. Designated movie and press cars have also been produced. If you still think it's speculation, that's on you.

Signs point to it, yes... but until it exists it can be pulled from design at any time. VINs or not.

Yea sure, I guess they could just drive all the M2 Comps they have made off a cliff and instead make an M2 ABC with a steam engine, I mean you never know right? No way to be 100% sure!

The sun will be setting soon, it may reappear tomorrow morning. But until it does, don't plan anything.

I'm glad you finally confirmed that. I knew the "S" in S55 stood for "Steam!"

I've already reserved my license plate.

The one I really wanted wouldn't fit. (STEAM55 seemed too obvious.)
