Tracking Ship w/o fees...
This might sound crazy, but it has worked for me the entire trip across the Atlantic...
Using Marinetraffic.com, without registering for an account, if I look at the vessel's "Last Position" I always get the position just south of Ireland. This is the point at which they want me to register and upgrade the account to be able to see current positions while at sea. Further, if I look up "Past Track" on my computer, I get the same - as expected, right? ** BUT, if I look up the vessel on the website on my Android phone, go to "Vessel Details", and then click "Past Track" I get the current satellite position of the boat! You might have to zoom-out on the map, but it has always given me the current satellite position of my vessel. I'm not sure about Apple phones - mine is a Samsung. Must be a flaw in their mobile website programming??? |

I found on the website that it tracked it when it was a little off the coast in England and then it stopped updating until it got almost to the coast in Baltimore. I signed up for the free trial and it still did not give me access to satellite positioning when it was going across the Atlantic....so the whole site was pretty pointless for me.
My ship also ended up being a couple days late from what it said on marinetraffic yet the arrival date never changed on marinetraffic....BMWGenius seemed to have more detailed info.
