PPF Installer in Toronto/GTA
Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone can suggest a great ppf installer close to Toronto, and roughly how much a good job using xpel should cost. So far I have received two quotes. Sekanskin quoted me $2000 for full front end and rocker panels Advanced Automotive Films quoted me $2770 for the same job, but they did break their price down piece by piece. I also have the option to do the mirrors for $200, rear wheel impact area for $200 and extended rear quarter panel for $400. I used to work in automotive detailing but I never handled ppf since our shop always contracted that out to a guy who would come in on an as needed basis, and for the life of me I can’t recall what he charged. I know a roll of xpel film is not that expensive for a shop to buy, so you’re paying more for the skill of the installer. I also know many detail shops will charge you more for an M car or P car compared to a Prius, even for the same service. I’m looking for a balance of good installer at a fair, not crazy high price. Any personal experiences with installers, and if you feel comfortable sharing how much you spent, would be much appreciated so I can nail down a shop and get my baby protected! |

It seems like between the two shops, you're pretty much in the ballpark for pricing. I paid a little more for the shop I went with as their work is always immaculate - the prep work they do that goes into a car for PPF and/or ceramics is just as important as the application of the actual product. |

I did my 18 E63S back in Dec 2017 @ ap shields
http://apshield.ca/ You are probably looking at around $1600 + taxes (full front, headlights, front side fender). |

Doing mine Friday at a place in Mississauga (SRS). Xpel Ultimate, $2,300 for full bumper, hood, front quarters, mirrors, headlights, rockers, and a patch after the rear tires. Price includes 35% ceramic tint all around. Place gets 4.8 out of 5 online reviews, so figured they can't be too bad. Lifetime warranty. Busy place so they must be doing something right.

Picked up the car today. Everything looks good...pictures below. Was able to notice up close a few "joints" on the PPF, very small (<2cm) and look like small cut lines just around some of the challenging parts of the front bumper. Take two steps back and they disappear. Tint is just the right amount and I guess time will tell if it holds up. Lifetime warranty so if it bubbles or peels, they will fix it. Fast, professional, car was immaculate when I picked it up, good price. I would recommend. Speak to Naveed or Dimitri, both good guys.

Ask for Mark - you simply won't regret it. All the reviews speak for themselves - I got full front done with rockers, mirrors and trunk from them along with ceramic tints, it was perfect work. |

GTA In Detail / Advanced Automotive Films. The best in the business. Look them up.

I went to Touch of Tint in Mississauga, they charged $1500 for full front end - headlights, full hood, full bumper, full fender, mirrors. They quoted another $400 for rockers and a strip behind the rear wheel on the rear bumper cover.
They did a pretty good job, my only PPF experience in the GTA area, so not sure they are the best in the business. I constantly hear good things about Auto-Links btw. S |
