Cold start wasn't as loud as before? Canadian Winter.
Hello all,
Just posting this as I am very curious. I have stored my vehicle in the garage where at nights where for about sometime now has been 0-5 Degrees C and now its starting to just hit below zero. A few nights ago I had to move my garage from the garage to grab a few things in the garage attic, but when I started my vehicle, it wasn't as loud as it used to be...it kinda sounded like the car was somewhat warm already. Any idea why? I'm just curious. Thanks! |

When you say loud you mean like ticking loud ? Like lifter noise ? Or piston slap ? How do you describe this noise. I live in Waterloo my car is stored for the winter when i start it it doesn't sound any different really than summer.
I also run 0W-40. That could make your starts quiter if its lifter noise. |
