Bimmercode

My OBD adapter arrived today so spent the last 10 minutes coding, really easy and changed lots of things that were annoying me.

I have a question, does the app have a usage limit on other chassis's? The coding lead for the Porsche for example can only be used on 3.

Does Bimmercode work with just the payment of £27.49 to unlock the app and the cost of the Vgate adaptor? Or are there additional in app costs?

No worries.. I will say you get 90% of the features of esys. The simple toggle is great and fool proof. The expert mode is good as well offering loads of features in addition.

Only things I can't find

The egs ecu isn't accessible so if you want to code sports transmission you still need esys.

You can't code 5 clicks on indicator cycle. Even in expert mode. You can browse to it but on android at least can't see the werte value

It's really easy, found I could code several things in each module at once.

Would be good if there were some instructions for us newbies as to what some of the more bizarre ones did especially in expert mode.

Search the forum for "cheat sheet" there is a f30 and f10 one. That will tell you what the options in expert do

Anyone know how to code for a towbar? It turns the reverse sensors off when you select reverse when towing.

I cant see an option in Bimmercode so I'm guessing this will be by esys.

I do not know coding for this. Isn't that normal factory behavior though? When I move my F10 from Reverse to Drive, my backup Camera and Rear PDC turn off.

I think on cars with front PDC it will turn off going out of reverse, unfortunately don't think this applies for cars with rear PDCs only.

Remember seeing few threads on this, not sure if possible to code.

Smee, mine disappears too (not coded that way). I think it has a set time it stays on because it may think you are manoeuvring. I've not had a look in that section of Bimmercode so couldnt say if you can change the stale-out time.

Tried this and couldn't find anything. Is this in the regional UK forum or the wider one?

Thanks!
