Need help pricing my FBO 2009 e90 LCI 335i xDrive
Hey guys, so before I throw up a for sale thread I am throwing up this feeler to see if you guys can help me set a reasonable price that I'l can still live with. Car is a 2009 Monaco Blue 335i xDrive with Saddle Brown Leather. Car has basically every bolt on you would want other than upgraded turbos and inlets. I bought the car 2 years ago and have had a blast with it! This was my 8th BMW but my first n54 and let's just say I enjoyed the good and the bad of what these cars tend to go through after 100k. I'd like to think I am somewhat of an enthusiast and have taken every step necessary to ensure the cars longevity.
This has been daily driven since I bought the car in October of 2015 with 90k for a little under $18,000 out the door. As you can see since then I've put almost 60k on it, which are 90% highway miles. Not just saying "highway miles" like every other car listing, I sell solar all over NJ so it has just been countless long work days up and down the Garden State Parkway. Here's what I have done to the car (I bought it 100% stock). Car runs and drives excellent, not a thing wrong with it, just last night I changed the oil and put on new Stoptech front drilled rotors and AKEBONO ceramic pads. Let me know what you guys think would be a fair asking price for the vehicle as I am trying to weigh my options on selling it before I purchase something else or just keep it since I know all I've done to the car and how many thousands of dollars I've spent on it since then. Also, I'm sure we all know most modifications do not tend to add value to a care Blue book, unless im selling it to one of you guys. Thanks in advance, any questions or interest, feel free to post here or shoot me a PM! 2009 BMW 335i xDrive Monaco Blue Saddle Brown Leather Interior 148,000 miles Runs and Drives GREAT, and this car has been my baby for the past two years. I put thousands of dollars into her with aftermarket performance parts as well as always keeping up with necessary maintenance. This is my eighth BMW so I'd like to think I am a BMW enthusiast and now know now these N54's like the back of my hand. Not sure but I would definitely take that brutal Alcantara trim wrap off . It's a nice car otherwise I can't fathom why you would do that to it.

AS for the rest of the Mods, unfortunately there is more value to you then what the market will pay. The general public wants an unmolested car, so to get the most out of the sale you will need to find another enthusiast that understand the extras and is willing to pay premium on standard market pricing. -Kevin |

Like what kfriceman said, most people want an unmolested car. It doesn't matter how "tasteful" the modifications are, most people would rather a bone stock car so they can mod it themselves. Not even tints are allowed.
Anyways, with that being said, the Manheim MMR (30-day) for the Northeast region for this particular vehicle is $5700. Plus or minus $500 for location, color, and cosmetic condition. If the 30-day MMR is 5700 then.... Dealer trade in is also approx 5700 Used dealer cash retail price...9200...finance price...8000 Fair private party price...6700-7500 |

Also FYI...nobody gives a shit about kelly Blue Book or Black book, whatever book value. It doesn't matter.
I hate it when idiots (especially females trying to sell their used car) be like Kelly Blue Book says my car is worth $9500, So I won't take anything less than $9450...blah blah blah. 2 months go by and their car still hasn't sold so they end up trading it in at the dealership and getting fucked in the ass. Only thing that matters is the market price at auction. AKA....Manheim 30 day average, ADESA, or Copart. This is how dealers determine how much to offer your trade in, in conjunction with whatever car you are buying from them. |

Hahahah ok "m4 like" trim pieces. The forums will never change, still people taking things said out of context and commenting on others posts solely to be a negative Nancy. I like how it looks and last time I checked to each his own. Let me rescructure the question for the small minded individuals of the community, "what would you pay for the car with the trim back to normal?"

10k for a 150k 335?
Ummmm no. It's an automatic, non sport on top of that. FYI: If you sell it stock, you'd probably get some desperate kid to buy it depending on your market at about 7k and that's reaching. More like 6500. Sell those aftermarket parts you have and you might get to a closer figure to what you're aiming for. Last edited by bsmoov; 10-05-2017 at 05:37 PM.. |

Take it back to as close it stock within the time and effort you have. You'll make money on the sale of your parts plus it will be much easier to sell the car as a whole. |

Beautiful car from the exterior, the hardest part for you to sell this car is that the car doesn't have sport package/paddle shifters..

The OP is a damn clown...telling me I don't know the market and 6500 for his car is a "steal". I have a dealer license, but of course I don't know anything.
Good luck trying to get 10,000 for a POS molested high mileage 335i non sport package auto gearbox. |

I ran your VIN, your vehicle is registered in Croton on hudson, NY. Prior registration in Highland Mills, NY.
With mileage and color adjustments, the Manheim MMR falls to $4750. Please see attached photos and tell me again how I don't "know" the current markets. https://ibb.co/kQZsTw https://ibb.co/myyK8w Last edited by BimmerNugget; 10-06-2017 at 01:24 AM.. |

OP you may want to consider lowering the price, or just keeping the car. |

"A damn clown", dude, easy does it. This is a forum for discussion, all I'm saying is I'd rather just keep the car if all ill get is $5000-$6500. If you look around on eBay/Craigslist/forums $8000-$1200 is common pricing for a 335i with 100k-150k. I understand it does not have sport package and is modded so I will have to either 1. Find another enthusiast to appreciate the mods 2. Take a serious hit in what I thought I could get, 3. Take it back to stock, 4. Keep it. Woth that said, for you to go as far as taking a dig at me by calling me a damn clown and refer to the car as a "molestee POS" is taking it a little bit too far. Just bc you still live in your moms basement, doesn't mean you have to come at us hard. Why you so mad bruh?

Thanks for actually adding value to my thread, just wanted to see if I was way off or close in terms of what I can realistically get for the car. Didn't mean to ruffle so many feathers lol. Anyone else want to shed some light on my question? As of now I'm keeping the car and if I decide I'm selling I'll take the mods off and sell it stock. Would anyone be interested in some of the parts? |
