335 seems to have lag and feeling a bit rough
I've got a 335 convertible which I bought new in 2009 - it's done 30,000km, pretty much all of them have been in stop start city traffic.
It's got some minor mods - catless DP's and a procede chip, but I run the chip in bypass mode, really just to suppress codes. I don't know if it's always had a bit of a delay / lag when driving around town in traffic. I seem to remember when I first bought the car, it was really smooth and seemed to have great throttle response. I don't know if it's perhaps my injectors - when the car is cold, it's very jerky. Or is it the procede perhaps? |

Check the usual suspects like codes, then plugs, coils, injectors, walnut blast, etc. Low miles doesn't necessarily mean all parts are created equal. Some things fail before we think they will.

I would also add Vanos solenoids to the list of basics. They don't always throw codes but if they're sticky or slow they can cause problems. You can try cleaning them, if it solves it then replace them with new ones. The effects of cleaning doesnt seem to get deep enough in them to last too long before they're stuck up again.

Mine was really laggy and unresponsive , I changed the diverter valves to forge ones and it made a big difference.

It’s a new car, I highly doubt there are any parts which affect driveability.
Have you owned a turbo vehicle before your bmw? The throttle application alone can make a huge difference with turbo lag. It’s best to fresher the throttle and start to gradually lean into the pedal after you boost the turbos, much better then jjst flooring it the away and watching as the Turbos stumble on their face. |
