removing wiper blade arms

Has anyone used a wiper blade arm puller to remove the wiper blade arms and, if so, which puller and from what vendor?

My windshield needs replacing. I want to remove the wiper blade arms before taking the car to the glass shops so that there is one less thing that can cause damage. On my last BMW (135is) the dealer actually damaged the engine hood removing the wiper blade arms. If you've never tried to remove them, they are a bugger You can wiggle them, jiggle them, pull, pry.... they won't come off (please don't wonder if I removed the nuts, duh). I know there are wiper arm pullers available, just wondering if anyone has used one successfully before I buy one that doesn't fit or doesn't work.

How often are you going to need the puller?

If just now i would go to a local shop and just ask to use their puller for a couple of bucks.

...what happened to your windshield, stone chip?

I'd stop by the dealer and ask to borrow their pulled or ask them to remove them for you.

Ya, stone chip spreading to a crack.

I'm sure the glass shop has a puller, but I want to do it myself because the wiper blade arms are obviously difficult to remove and I want to minimize the risk of damaging the engine hood when the arms are 'pulled' off. Even if I only use a puller once, they're inexpensive ($10 - $15), but there are different brands and styles and I just thought someone might have already figured out which one fits and works on the M2.

I've ordered one online and will hope it fits and works safely.
