MPPK 335i coding
I posted this in general but not much luck with what to do, maybe we can get more answers in the coding section.
Will taking my car to the dealer to code and install the MPPK on my f30 2015 335i delete all my previous coding? For example my LCI tail light, LED fog light, and M performance brake kit coding? Also will it delete my small custom coding light seat belt chime delete? I am hoping they do not since it would be a pain to code all that back. Should I tell the dealer not to touch previous coding when its time for MPPK install? Is it possible to save coding in e-sys prior and reinstall when i get the car back? Would reinstalling mess up the MPPK install? Lastly, is it possible to have the dealership code in the LCI taillight, OEM led foglight, and M performance brake coding from factory after they do the ECU flash? I think I read that was a option before.. I have all these coded through E-sys on my own currently |

The dealer will charge you for any codings you ask them to do. If you have saved your previous ECU codings, you can re-code them via E-SYS, as FDL coding has no relation to the engine parameters in the DME. It's just that whenever BMW does a re-flash with either stock or MPPK engine code, it flashes the DME and all of the car's ECUs. Anything you had VO-coded will remain; everything else will be overwritten.
