New (dirty) car wash and detail suggestions?

My European Delivery 335 Coupe is on its way so I thought I'd ask what to do when it gets here (have to find ways to fill the time).

When I dropped off in Amsterdam, the car was pretty dirty with bugs and dirt from the Autobahn. Unfortunately, could not locate car washes nearby and was running out of time so had to drop-off as it was.

The question is, should I let the dealer clean it when it gets here, or ask them not to and either try to do it myself or take it to a detail shop?

I live in a condo community in Old Town Alexandria, VA and washing cars in the parking lot is not allowed. I can use a friends driveway to wash and detail on my own but there is no garage and I will have to buy all supplies.

So what would you all suggest?
1. Let dealer clean, then detail it again.
2. Don't let dealer touch it, clean and detail myself.
3. Don't let dealer touch it, clean and detail professionally.

If #3, which detail shop would you recommend that's close to Old Town? I don't mind cleaning/detailing on my own and buying the supplies but I don't know if I'll be willing to do it often enough to justify spending money on the supplies rather than paying someone to do it when needed. I've also read that it's best to detail in a covered spot and my friend's driveway has lots of trees and plants around it.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

i wouldn't let the dealer touch the car. The use minimum wage employees to detail car with rags that has been used over and over.

If you are interested I would be more than happy to accomodate your detailing needs.

yeap, in fact every car I purchased from the dealer I told them please do not even do the PDI wash as I am not interested in free swirl marks.

Whenever I take my car to the shop for oil change, i make sure they do not wash the car also.

Will PM you later today with all info mr. Phan.

-thanks

I would not call it a competition. I think David does great work and encourge people to use him who is looking for mobile/zaino service. I do not do any mobile service and I do more custom work for people who are very particular about the details at a concourse level. I think the area is big enough for both of us. Although I use Zaino if people request, but my main focus is going to be Swissvax & Zymol.

In the end, I think both David & I want to provide great service to this region. Plus my main job is paint protection film. Only about 20% of my customers get detail at this time.
