2TB shifter retrofit

I recently acquired a 2TB shifter from a f30 330 and I was wondering if it's a straight plug and play. I currently have a 15' 328 with the 205 shifter and sport auto coding, would I need to redo sport auto coding on the new shifter?

Should just be plug and play. No coding required

As Jdmdc5teg06 said, no coding, straight swap, only problem you'll have is getting to one of the screws but a bit of fiddling and you'll get it out.

Are there any tutorials or YouTube videos on how to swap the shifters?

Finished the swap last weekend, really simple.
1. Remove the trim around I drive controller, don't need to unplug it.
2. Pop the shifter surround from underneath, it's not held in using any clips.
3. Unscrew the 4 screws holding the shifter unit. One of it was a little annoying
4. Unplug the connection and plug in the new shifter.
5 repeat the above processes in reverse

Where did you happen to find or get the 2TB shifter? I have been considering doing this as well as upgrading the iDrive dial in my car.
