I recently acquired my 2017 340 a few weeks back and I'm having a hell of a time programming my Genie Intellicode garage door opener with the "Universal" open. It could be that my Genie model (ACSGT Type 3) is ancient, but I've followed all of the instructions on the Genie website and the owner's manual. Probably a long shot, but has anyone else had issues with Genie garage door openers? Any fixes or advice?

Had the same issues with my 15 year old Genie openers. The only way I got it to work was I had to reset the door opener by holding down the black button on the opener module to clear it out. Once I did that I got it to program. Was pain as I had to reprogram my 2 other cars and 3 garage doors....

I had a lot of problems getting my 2016 340ix programmed to my garage door, also a Genie system. I finally realized that I needed to press harder on the mirror button to get the LED light flashing. Much harder that I thought you would ever need.
