Coding Alpine HIFI upgrade F30

Hi guys,

I will be installing the Alpine Hifi upgrade for my F30.

As for coding,

Do I only need to add HIFI to HO-WORT?

Or should I add HIFI in HO-WORT + option code 676 together in the FA?

Kind regards

You would do or or the other I would have thought but I would add the option in rather than the wort and then code the HU

I will let the dealer install the parts, so I'll go with your suggestion and just add $676 to the FA and recode the whole HU_NBT ecu before I go to the dealer.

Once I'm back home and not satisfied with it I'll probably add the HO-WORT and see what it'll give!

Thanks!

SA676 is for the factory installed Hifi-system.
HO-Wort "Hifi" is for the retrofitted Hifi-system.

But it doesn't matter which element you code because both have the same coding values.

Oh! That makes sence.

I tried both though but I founded that the SA676 sounded deeper in bass than the HIFI in HO-WORT.

Might be something I think it is though..

Sorry for digging up an old post guys. Struggling to find elementary info on recoding head unit to hifi. I have the base sound in a 2016 330i. I have installed a nice new system but it definitely needs to be recoded. Is that something I can learn myself, or should I be paying somebody to do it? It's quite hard to find easy to follow guides that are either current or don't have some level of assumed coding knowledge. Any help is super appreciated. In Australia btw.
