Hi guys
Stupid question here
I know if u hold the arrow on remote it will make the windows and sunroof go down but how to i lock push back windows with remote...
I remember in my 135i i put the key in the contact on the door and keep it turned and it would lock everything but that doesnt work anymore
So what does?

If I am understanding you right...

Press and hold the comfort access button on the door handle.

The 135 keys have the arrow button, the 235 keys have an actual unlock icon on the button, but either way these are each the "unlock" button. To make the windows go back up, you hold the "lock" button, which is the round BMW logo button.

I have owned my 235 for over two years. Today, which was particularly warm here in the NY area, I tried for the first time to close the windows by holding down the lock button on the key fob after locking the car from the outside. No luck. It worked on my old 325 15 years ago. I will try it on my wife's X3 and report back. Both have the various convenience options.

You can't lock US cars from the FOB you need to code it... it works for european versions...

My car locks from the key and did not require coding. Perhaps non-convertibles need coding, but it's not a rule that applies to all US cars.

I am able to get my windows to go up and down by holding the button no problem from far away, but to make the convertible top open and close using the key fob it only works when I'm a few feet away from the car. If I step away or walk around the back, it pauses and then resumes when I get close.

The sensor for cars with comfort access is located outside the rear view mirror on the windshield. If you point the key fob towards it and hold the lock button pressed, it will lock the car and close the windows. Your car must have the comfort access feature in order for it to work. It should close windows and sunroofs in coupes and the vert top and windows in the convertible.

Tried that just now on both my '15 235 and my wife's '16 X3. Nada, zilch, zero.

I have a '16 M235 and I cannot get the windows to close back up. Holding my hand on the door handle/comfort access point does nothing. They roll down fine with the unlock button on the FOB tho.

Did you point the key fob to the mirror on windshield center and press and hold the lock button on the key fob?

Are you the first owner of the car ?

closing is disabled from the FOB on US spec cars for some DOT safety issue

Yes, first owner, definitely never had any coding. It's not true for all US cars, sounds more like something some salesman said.

Somebody either coded your car without you knowing or you somehow got the wrong spec car.

BMW from like 2005 come with close windows from fob disabled in US.

Just go to any dealer and try to do that on other car and see what happens

Like I mentioned earlier, perhaps it works for convertibles but is disabled for hardtops, but it works, no coding, bought in New York from a dealer brand new. It would be highly unlikely for this feature to be coded at the dealer before I bought the car, but possible I suppose. The salesman even showed me before I made the purchase. The key fob also lowers and raises the roof, along with the windows, so that's why I think it may not need coding on convertibles.

maybe you are right... never played around with the convertible... but all the non-convertible cars I've seen you can't close windows or mirrors from the FOB

I just tried it out. From a few feet away,FOB lowers the windows. It will not raise the Windows. However up close,a few inches away. FOB lowers windows and top. Raises top and windows. If the top is already up,it raises the windows. The raising of the top or windows is only when you are close AND you have the comfort package. That is no coding.
