Pre-LCI Xenon AHL to LCI AHL
Hey everyone, I have an '06 330xi. It has the bi-xenon AHLs and fog lights. I did a rear end lci conversion a while back and want to continue in the front, starting with the headlights. A few questions:
I've read that my FRM would need to be retrofit with FRM2 (or FRM3). Is this needed for the headlights to work or just for welcome lights and drl AE's? I already have drl AE's as I installed the wiring harness and LED AEs a while back. I also don't care about the welcome lights. I read something about 'flash to pass', if I kept FRM would I still have my high beams? I realize that I will need to tap pin 7 for the corner LEDs on the lci lights. It looks like the LCI headlight shells are mainly for sale. Can I reuse my existing bulbs and AE's or do I need new ones? I read that I require new ballasts. Is that it or are there additional modules that need to be swapped? Thanks! Appreciate it |
