Heated Sportline Steering Wheel - Don't need heat
I have a base steering wheel in my 2013 328i xDrive and may be purchasing a Sportline wheel with airbag - no paddles but has heat function. Will my car throw any error codes if I install wheel and the heat is not connected or retrofitted? I don't care about the heated functionality nor do I want to spend the cash on the retrofit parts.

The heat function has a separate connector so the car won't even know the steering wheel has that function. I did it on mine about a year ago and didn't get any errors.
(Well, I did recently get an airbag error but that's because the airbag connector got loose.) Kind regards, KingpinRCR |

Thanks for clarifying. I wasn't sure if there was a separate connector or not.

I confirm, i have the same configuration on my car and there is no issue as the heat cable are not connected.
