X3 - is it a good deal?
Hi all,
Recently I have been offered a deal on a pre reg X3, so please tell me if it makes sense. X3 Xdrive 20d M Sport Auto Sapphire Black Reg on 30/06/16 28 miles on the clock List price - £39,390 Offer - £31,000 48 months PCP @ 5.9% - £5000 deposit followed by 48 X £310, final payment £16,600 I understand the new X3 is around the corner however to me this deal sounded a tad bit tempting. What do you think? |

I would see what discount you can get on coast2coast for a comparison but as mentioned it's been resisted 9 months already, I would go nowhere near it.
What the deal on a new one? APR will be lower |

Not sure what the std 2016 spec is, but I'd want to make sure it had Xenons and pro nav at least. Might be business nav as std? Things like through load are ones you'd spec yourself as well from new, given the cost and buying a car like that owners would want it to be practical.
Given I drive one now (M Sport with sport suspension) I'd like to know if VDC suspension makes the ride better. I like the sports setup but compared to the 4 series over things like traffic calming you tend to get thrown about - they're like chalk & cheese. The new G chassis may ride a lot better and show up the old F25s. VDC in F25s is few & far between though as I guess people are not buying them for ride quality/handling primarily. Other things I'd want are sun protection (privacy) and reverse camera - it's big and you're high up so seeing the back of it when reversing is tough. Mine doesn't have a camera and I miss it, since every other car since 2004 has had one. Wife hates that mine has manual seats as well, but that depends on whether you have different drivers. I'd want a big discount if the spec suits you, due to the imminent G01 release. Bet loads of people trade up when it's out as they do have a loyal following and it is a great car. There'll be loads of nice spec'd 2015/6 models soon. |

AUC has some nice examples around £30k - with more miles obviously. But they're like tanks basically and a lot of pre-owned will come with service inclusive for 5 years/50k. If you can get one of those & a good finance deal you're laughing as I bet they've not even been in for the first service yet. |

I paid £500 more for one back in November from Sytner, registered April 2016 but it had been used so a few miles on the clock.
However it did have pro nav, xenons, 20" wheels, plus pack, reverse camera etc. I did see plenty of pre reg cars for similar money but they either went straight away or didn't have any kit added to them. |
