Ok, here's one for the gurus out there: When I first got the car and linked my phone (Blackberry Classic), I am sure texts came through on idrive. I formatted idrive as the guy before me had put a load of phones and stuff on it and it seemed the easiest way to ensure the car was free of anything related to the previous owner. Now, no texts coming in. I asked Sytners, but they told me that the idrive does not support text/email etc from Blackberry phones. Confused.com....Oh and yes, I am a dinosaur, but I just love my Blackberry....

I have checked on the BMW site and it should be compatible.....

You might find that an update that had been applied to your idrive has now been deleted. I'd check for an update and see how that goes.

I checked for software updates and just performed one on the car. It didn't say what the update was though. I have also downloaded the phone update, but don't know how to get it into the vehicle. It's on a pen drive if that helps....

I had a blackberry a few years ago , my emails and texts definitely came through on idrive . It was one of the first versions of iDrive , can't remember which one though.

How do I apply a software update from a USB stick? I am really new to this malarky.....
