DAB Radio Traffic Announcements
Can anyone confirm if I have an issue with my radio traffic information system, or whether this is normal for BMW?
In my other vehicles (Ford & VW), if I have the traffic reports turned on, often called TA on other systems, it doesn't matter what radio station I listen to, nor if I listen to CD etc, I get traffic information come up. In my BMW it doesn't work at all unless I'm listening to a BBC radio station. If I listen to Radio 2, I get all traffic info as normal, but if I listen, for example, to Radio X, Heart or similar, traffic announcements just don't work at all. Does anyone know if the BMW radio system is reliant on being on a certain radio station in order to receive traffic announcements, or is my system faulty? It's still in warranty, so if it is a fault, I will take it to BMW to look at. Many thanks in advance. |

Listening to dab I don't seem to get radio Berks traffic announcements very often or at all like I use to in old car with just FM. I'm normally between radio 2 and 4.
Last traffic I had was from classic FM which isn't particular useful. |

i dont have a problem with mine and it works on all radio stations. How have you enabled it to give you the reports? using the idrive or the button on the stereo system (top left i believe)
