That new car smell came back today!

I noticed it when I got in my car after work. I'm figuring it has something to do with the warm weather we recently had reacting with the plastics, 23C (low 70'sF).

Anyone else experience the same?

My E90 is a Feb/'07 build, and still smells like new but only when it's warm out!

It comes back when you don't drive it for a while too! Although it is proven to give cancer..

yeah, it's called offgassing (volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in your car aka plastics & synthetic materials) releasing alkanes, benzenes, adehydes and ketones. Good stuff

As far as your nice weather in southern Ontario, enjoy it . We're in the midst of getting 15-20cm of snow tonight, and up to another 20-30cm's before Tuesday. Parts of southern AB / SW Sask will receive up to / over 1 meter of snow in the next 3 days. Won't be above 0 until next Friday

I remember Audi had an advertisement of how they hire a "smell team" to check every vehicle that was finished with production to make sure the smell was right. I wonder if they regret having that job.
