Will M brakes from a 320xd fit a 330xd?

Hi,

I bought a set of blue Brembo M brakes from a 320xd and wanted to double check if they will fit onto a 330xd with standard brakes.

There seems to be different info based on disc sizes and I can't work it out!

Thanks

If you have the vin/plate from the 320xd, you can put this into the BMW parts catalogue, and then work out for each part if it is listed as compatible with you car to be sure

From what I know, the brembo off the 320xd is the same size as std on the 330/335, but the above is the acid test

I am selling some, and from what I could see, some models had different rear discs, but all the other parts were the same

Doing it in reverse, if I put in my VIN and select the M brakes on realoem then it says they are only compatible with the 325, 328, 330 and 335 (and the M2!).

Which means I may be putting them up for sale soon!

Wait for some of the more technical members to comment, do you have the discs/calipers? Or just the calipers?

I may be completely wrong here, but I seem to remember 320/420 m sport plus brake discs being 340mm while the bigger engined cars had 370mm discs?

They will fit your motor. 340mm front discs - 345mm rear discs. You could also get 370 discs with the appropriate calipers.

Thank you for the reply.

Do you know if they bolt straight on or would I need a new calliper holder?

Part of me wants the bigger discs but then I already have this set.

They will fit straight on. What size front discs do you have now?

Would have to check. Whatever came as standard from the factory.

They will fit definitely. The front discs will just be smaller than a 330d with M Sport brakes from factory. Although, I believe if you get the PPK fitted by BMW on a 330d with standard brakes then they fit the 340mm M Sport brakes, so you'll be the same as one of them.
