For those who have Sirrus

Hi to all the lucky ones with their M3...

I was wondering if anyone had the sat. radio and how does it compare in quality to a 128kbp/256kbp MP3.

They have some very good stations, but I doubt that the sound quality matches the CD or even the 128kps MP3.

Thanks in advance for the answer.

Hey Drvai,

I have Sat radio and BMW gives you 1 year free subscription(I'm sure its built into the price of the option). There are a decent variety of channels(ie Hip Hop, Rock, 80s, etc) and quality is great, but when I played a CD it sounded more crisp and fuller. I also have the Ipod connection and depending on the quality of the MP3 will vary on the sound comparsion to the Sat. Overall, if you can spare paying addtional $500 option not that bad of a deal but the music on Sirrus is repeatative and can get old quick.
