DIY Windshield Replacement

Came across this gem of a two part video. If you are looking to replace your own front windshield for the satisfaction of knowing the job is done right and to more easily justify the premium of an OEM windshield this may be a DIY for you.

This two part video for a 2011 328i shows a guy who seems to know what he's doing:





From what I can tell, this is a good overview of what's needed in a quality replacement job for a very similar BMW windshield:



I'm trying to ID all of the tools used. If you are familiar with them or know that some of them really aren't needed post what you know.
