Paint Correction Savannah (new to the area)

Just had my car moved from CA to GA and it now has a TON of scratches, rock chips, and swirls.

It was pretty much perfect before but did have the swirls in the clear coat already.

I really have a hard time trusting car wash places...so can anyone recommend a high end detail / paint correction shop?

Also, not sure if any of you guys meet up around here or not? I need to make friends

Hey did you ever find anyone for paint correction? I am in Savannah and haven't found anyone I trust yet either. I need to have my front bumper resprayed, then I am going to put a clear bra on it...driving back from NY over the holidays chewed up my front bumper.

There is a BMW facebook page for Savannah and the area, but not a ton of newer BMW's. I haven't hooked up with them yet, but I may one day. Also cars and coffee meets the first Saturday of the every month in the parking lot on Habersham next to 5 Spot restaurant.

actually, I just dropped the car off this morning at Pro Shine for a full paint correction. Hoping they do a good job but I just really have my doubts lately as most shops are all talk but dont know too much....we will see. These guys are right behind the BMW dealer and they do all their work so looking forward to seeing what they can do. I'll definitely keep you updated on how it turns out.

Ya I will need to stop by one of the meets sometime soon! I need to meet some people being new to town.

BTW have you done any coding to your F30?

Definitely keep me updated on how they do and how expensive they are...I wish Savannah had good shops like that, but like you said, most are all talk! I found a good tint and clear bra place. I used to use Pro Tint and they do a great job. On my F30, I switched to G-Force Automotive Films since they had ceramic tint...It really helps with the heat in the summer, much better than any film I have used. (crap didn't know I was going to turn that into a commercial...sorry).

I have not done any coding. I want to learn but haven't yet...I had my e90 coded but had someone do it from out of state and he "dialed" in to do it. THere are several things I want coded, but don't want to pay much for it...we need to find someone local. Keep me posted there as well.

Where did you move from?

Good to hear Pro Tint did a good job as they are actually the people I have been talking to in regards to getting my F30 tinted this month! What % did you go with and to reconfirm, you went with Ceramic tint by G-Force Auto Films? I heard the summers are brutal so I am looking for a really good film.

Originally from VA, moved to CA, and now living in GA.
I have a thread on here in the general discussion (i think) "VW to BMW, my experience"

I have had several cars tinted by Pro Tint, they do an outstanding job...but I was really concerned having black interior this time and the heat. So I did some investigating and found G-Force Auto Films. I went and talked to them and talked about tint etc and they recommended the ceramic. I could not be happier! I went with GA legal limit 32%. It is darker than the same tint % from Pro Tint. It keeps the heat out and is darker so looks better. Maybe it is darker because I went from beige interior to black, but looks better regardless.

As long as I live here, I won't get anything but ceramic. Just picked up a Ford Focus ST for my wife and I am going to get ceramic tint from them as well.

If you want to see the tint in person, I am sure we can arrange something so you can see it. Just let me know.

Here is a pic...actually looks darker in person too. You can see my e90 in the background before I sold it.

Pro Shine did NOT paint correct my car...
Basically a wax job that made the scratches less visible but they are all still there.

I wouldnt spend my money there or ever bring my car back.

Going to save and buy the tools to do it myself one day in the future.

Yea they do work for BMW dealership right there. Think they are more of a volume in/out type of place. Not like you get perfect paint from the dealership anyway. I wasnt happy, the people there did not seem very knowledgeable, and even spots on the car they missed during the wash.

Sweet! The three of us should meet up some weekend to grab a coffee or something. Main interest is coding my auto to the "sport auto" setting. Would love to get some paddles installed as well and get those working but would need to source / install them first of course.

What do you have coded on your F30?
