BMW DCT Viton Transmission Pan Gasket Package

From the factory the BMW DCT transmission comes with inferior pan gasket seals. Both pan gasket seals overtime leak and make a mess on the underneath of the vehicle.
The only repair form BMW is to replace the factory gasket with another inferior factory gasket. We have sent the factory gaskets to be analyzed by an independent company. We found that the rubber used from the factory is rated to 220-230 F and has a very low resistance to chemicals.

We stepped up and have made molds from the factory gaskets. The gaskets now are made from high temp. Viton rubber. Viton is chemical resistant and will withstand temperatures of -70 F to 450 F, which makes them superior to the factory gaskets. We have also replaced the factory aluminum stretch bolts with hardened stainless bolts which can be reused. This package is used to put an end to leaking pan gaskets.

Question though:
Why would BMW use such an inferior material for a critical component? Cost cutting?

BMW doesn't build the transmission, Getrag does. Manufacturers always cut costs to drive up profits. They install inferior parts so when your warranty runs out, it gives the stealerships tons of business.

When your aluminum replacement pan is purchased, is it the Viton gasket and stainless bolts that come with it? How much does the side access pan gasket and hardware cost separately?

I want to make sure I understand you correctly, when I buy your anodized billet DCT pan for $1,224 you are selling it to me with the inferior factory gasket? Is the mounting hardware you supply with the pan your stainless bolts or the factory aluminum stretch bolts? Thank you for clearing this up for me.

The pan sells for 1099.00. We have never before had access to the pan gasket. BMW has never made it realistic to buy without having to purchase the factory pan. We now have had the pan gasket replicated out of high grade Viton rubber. The gasket can be purchased additionally when purchasing the pan.

I hope this clarify things.
